I am a 22-year-old female, recent college graduate. My mom is in recovery over 4 years. I am relatively new to the jam scene and wanted to share it with my mom. I identified like minded people at the shows were wearing a simple sticker that read “One Show at a Time” or gathering during shows at a table with a yellow balloon. So I wondered…What if the show did not have the table with the yellow balloon? How can someone identify and safely connect with like minded people at the shows? My mom was finally ready to attend her first [sober] show with me, my father and my sister. I wanted to gift her something to celebrate her return, that she could wear without drawing lots of attention. Looking online, there seemed to be nothing available to help connect like-minded folks. So, I created “You Know If You Know” .com (uNoIfuNo.com) with the vision of giving sober and recovery conscious fans of the jam band scene a way to easily and safely connect. The logo unifies symbols of recovery and live music and is displayed on the back of my shirts between the shoulders. This makes it easy to recognize as you stand in lines or dance in your spot.
